IRBEA CONFERENCE
We were thrilled to participate in the 24th IrBea National Bioenergy Conference. The 'Let's Make It Happen' Event was held at the Killashee Hotel in Naas. Declan Murray, our CEO, participated in the IrBea panel discussion on "Opportunities and Challenges in the Biomethane Sector." The event brought together industry leaders, policymakers, and stakeholders from across the renewable energy sector to discuss the vital role of bioenergy in Ireland's energy transition. ​​​​

Sean Finan emphasized the policy action needed for :

Urgent notification of the RHO scheme to the EU Commission

Release of capital funding details for biomethane development

OUR 2025 TEAM EVENT
Our Team Event at the Hodson Bay was a huge success. We had a team meeting, a cocktail-making class, and a cruise on the river. It was great fun. Thanks to all the team for your contributions to a brilliant event.

TRAINING DAY WITH DCM
Biocore had a great training day at the Anaerobic Digestion Plant in Roscommon.

CONGRATULATIONS SEAN ALLENÂ
BT Young Scientist of the Year
Sean won the 1st Senior Individual prize at the BT Young Scientist 2024 for his project, "Rooting for Sustainability - An Exploration of more sustainable grassland nutrient management". The carbon neutral fertiliser he is developing has generated 53% more grass growth compared to 10-10-20 fertiliser. With the help of Biocore digestate company which processes the organic waste he has brought the venture to commercial scale assessment

OUR EXPANDING FLEET
As part of our continued expansion we have increased our EV Fleet, invested in new skips for our Organic Waste Management division and we also acquired a new tanker to transport our valuable Nutricore digestate to farms around the country



SUPPORTING FUTURE TALENT
We have recently partnered with Sean Allen the BT Young Scientist of the Year winner in 2022. The winning project was about the long-term effects of a more sustainable method of keeping nutrients in the soil as an alternative to artificially made granule. We are delighted to support Sean with his research on his next project
